Education required: You are regularly enrolled in a Master in Statistics, Data Science, Life Sciences or similar field in an Educational Establishment located in Europe.
Language requirement: You are fluent in English and/or French
Expected start date: January/February 2024
Duration: Minimum 4 months, ideally 6 months in full time
Work arrangements: Hybrid (2 or 3 days/ week on site)
Requisite: The internship must be mandatory & done in the framework of the curriculum, for which an agreement must be signed between GSK, the student and the Educational Establishment.
Remuneration: according to Belgian legal requirements, the internship will not be paid. However, some expenses will be reimbursed.

What will you do? Where does the role fit?
You will work within the Vx-Clinical Assay Statistics team who delivers statistical expertise to the development, validation and life-cycle of clinical assays (e.g. ELISA, PCR…) used during vaccine R&D
You will be involved in statistical analyses to evaluate the robustness of clinical assays
You will apply a wide range of statistical approaches such as DOE (design of experiment), response surface methodology, difference and equivalence tests, ANOVA with fixed and random effects, linear regression with fixed and random effects…
You will evaluate different statistical approaches using simulations (in SAS, R) and summarize the results using graphical and visual tools
You will work in collaboration with the clinical assay statisticians of the team for the application to real experimental data

Being familiar with programming languages: SAS and/or R
Analytical and logical thinking with good organization skill
